It was funny - right before this, I was thinking to myself how cool it would be to see a Pacific Spiny Lumpsucker. I hadn't seen one in quite some time - in fact, the last time that I had, was right here at Day Island.

And look what I spotted just sitting on this jar . . .

About the size of a golf ball, just with fins, this little fish is so out of place here - especially at a site like this where current is so strong. Watching it swim around with its little fins, you can't help but wonder how in the world it survives here.
