A little history first . . .

The last two dives at Les Davis, my buddy Jerome and I spotted a "teenager" wolf eel here. I haven't seen the resident wolf eels in quite some time, and we were both surprised to see a juvenile wolfie. I hadn't brought my camera with me on either dives.

Today - Dave and I spotted the first one (you've already seen pictures of that one.) A few minutes prior to this point in our dive, we encountered a larger wolfie - quite possibly the same "teenager" one that Jerome and I had seen the last two times. On this dive, the wolfie was a bit scared of us and hid in his den - just far enough in so I couldn't get a good picture at all, but far enough out where we could see him with our eyes.

And now to this picture . . . as we were coming in to end our dive, we hit the anemone portion of the reef (the same specific piece of cement with "still as of this moment, unphotographed" fish sculpture, I look down and see this guy - a five foot wolf eel. Out of his den. Swimming around freely. At Les Davis.

The oddest part, he didn't seem scared of us.
